Pope Leo XIV and President Donald Trump
The press is at it again. The U. S. press, in particular, but the European press also, especially the Guardian in the UK, have two goals when reporting on the pope, especially since Francis began his pontificate and Trump became U. S. president in 2017. First, the press wants you to believe that the pope is as liberal as Ted Kennedy and Ruth Bader Ginsburg – combined! They want you to believe that he is on board with every liberal Democrat idea. Yes, every liberal Democrat idea, because the pope, regardless of who he is or where he’s from, sees everything in terms of U. S. partisan politics. This point is going to be especially pressed with Pope Leo, the first American pope. The Chicago native will be expected to share his wisdom on every possible U. S. matter, from who he believes will inherit the MAGA crown, to why Nicole and Keith are breaking up (they’re both Catholic and c’mon, … everybody knows why!).
Second, a long with being a die-hard liberal Dem, the press in the U. S. want you to believe that the pope is the anti-Trump. They simply can’t believe that the Vicar of Christ could possibly support this guy or any of his policies, no matter how objectively good some of his policies might be. Trump opposes abortion, the pope favors abortion. Didn’t he just prove that last week? Trump supports people going to church, the pope says stay home. Trump believes there should be peace on Earth, the pope wants war. Just kidding! I made those up. But it does seem that the Democratic Party and the mainstream media in the U. S. oppose a lot of what Trump proposes simply because Trump proposes it. So, it’s become a bit of a joke. Trump supports that all children should be fed, clothed, and given shelter, Dems say let them starve and rot! You see what I mean. The press want to think of the pope as an ally in their war against Trump, so they manipulate the headlines and decide which story ledes based on that game plan.
Point in fact: did you know that Pope Leo was critical of Trump’s immigration policy? Of course, you did! Because it was plastered all over the place by multiple media outlets, including the biggest: WaPo, NY Times, The Guardian, Reuters, NPR, AP, MSNBC, CNN, Fox News, etc. Did you also know that Pope Leo is supportive of Trump’s 20-point Gaza Peace Plan? No? Well, how could you have missed it? I mean, it was only in none of the major newspapers and barely addressed by other outlets. No WaPo, NY Time, or The Guardian. NPR failed to get on top of it, as did MSNBC, CNN and Fox News. Reuters, Newsweek, and Substack were the only major outlets I found that carried the story, and that’s if you want to count Substack “major.” I think a lot more people are finding it.
This is the way the press is and has been for some time. Again, at least since Francis. The pope won’t be able to change that. What he needs to do is be aware of it, as does his press department, so that they can get the word out where he and President Trump, and other world leaders, agree and on what basis they can sit down and have a constructive conversation planning the comeback of Western Civilization.
As a first step in that comeback, here’s Trump’s 20-point peace plan. Maybe it will save the day.
1. Release of Hostages: All Israeli hostages living or dead, should be returned within three days after Israel agrees to the deal.
2. Prisoner Release: Israel will release 250 life-sentenced prisoners besides 1,700 detainees apprehended since 7 October 2023.
3. Exchange of Remains: Deceased Palestinians will be exchanged for deceased Israelis.
4. Demilitarization of Gaza: In order for the region to cease to pose a menace, all armed factions in Gaza must be dismantled.
5. Immediate Ceasefire: Both the sides will abstain from hostilities from the moment of signing Israeli forces would withdraw in stages.
6. Amnesty for Surrender: Amnesty will be granted to Hamas gunmen who disarm and renounce violence and allow a safe passage for those who wish to exit the Gaza Strip.ack, and regarding an area where the President and the Holy Father agree, here is the Trump 20-point peace plan laid out for you. Let’s pray Hamas and Israel sign on to it.
7. Increase Humanitarian Assistance: By increasing the number of relief convoys, it is envisaged that such convoys will also be responsible for delivering fuels, electricity, medical services and essential goods.
8. Unhindered Supply Chains: Aid will be funneled through neutralizing agencies like the UN and Red Crescent while the Rafah border crossing will re-open conditions.
9. Temporary Palestinian Governance: A transitional Palestinian will be established for the time being to run the ancillary governing structures with regards to daily administrative tasks.
10. Re-building Oversight: The Palestinian Authority possesses the capability to assume secure control of all reconstruction will be under the jurisdiction of a transitional board.
11. Board of Peace: Governance and reconstruction will be regulated by an international board-chaired by Donald Trump with added global advisers like Tony Blair.
12. Regional Cooperation: Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, France and the U.S. shall be combined to jointly facilitate the plan’s implementation.
13. Global Governance Models: Governance patterns demonstrating evidence of success in the international arena will entice more foreign investment.
14. Strategic Urban Planning: Trump’s team will draft a plan of development based on successful Middle Eastern cities.
15. Use of Past Proposals: All previous proposals put forward internationally to rehabilitate Gaza will be adapted to the best of their relevance.
16. Special Trade Zone: A newly created trade zone will provide increased access into and within a country while lowering tariffs to stimulate economic activity.
17. Incentives for Investors: Countries investment in the rebuilding of Gaza will be lauded and enjoyed economic benefits.
18. Joint Security Framework: Gaza will be part of a safety model of joint security and backed up by international partners.
19. Entire Disarmament: All weapons within Gaza will be removed and collected under strict supervision.
20. Palestinian Autonomy: Once successful in reforms, Palestinians will take the complete political and security responsibility for their area.
May this lead to peace, Lord. Grant us your peace. Amen.
Be Christ for all. Bring Christ to all. See Christ in all.
