He Comes to Save

I find myself amused by the billboards that read: “Don’t make me come down there! — God.” The people who put up those billboards, don’t they know? He has already come down here. He is already among us. This is good news! He came not to punish us for our sins, but to save us from the consequences of them. He already did the “destroy everything and start from scratch” thing. He promised not to do that again. Now He comes to save, not to punish.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God sent the Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him” (John 3:16-17).

Be Christ for all.  Bring Christ to all.  See Christ in all.
