In this presentation for Prager University, former Congressman Bob McEwen (R-OH) explains why the government has such a difficult time fixing healthcare and, for that matter, much of anything else. It basically comes down to this: if you’re not spending your own money, and your not subject to the consequences of how you spend that money, it’s not likely that you’re going to be very invested in how much money gets spent, or in the quality of the product purchased. ‘Natch!
