The Chinese government has initiated the fiercest crackdown against Christians, Muslim and other religious believers in decades. Christian churches are being closed, bibles are being burned, and Christians are being forced to sign papers renouncing their Christian faith in order to be spared reprisal. Muslims in China’s northwest regions are being detained and forced to renounce Islam.
Jay Sekulow, Chief Counsel at the American Center for Law & Justice, tweeted, “The situation for Chinese Christians becomes more dire by the day. We are working tirelessly to put maximum pressure on China to stop the persecution.”
It isn’t clear at this time what the Trump administration plans are, if there are any, to address the persecution of Christians and other people of faith by the Chinese government. So far, there has been little interest among world leaders to address the persecution and little mention of it in the mainstream press.
On matters of apparent greater importance, the Trump administration continues its efforts to expose the anonymous author of a critical op-ed published by the New York Times, the Democrats pursue their goal of ruining Brett Kavanaugh’s reputation, and the mainstream media’s work to destroy the Trump administration for its successful economic programs and foreign policy wins goes on unabated.
Be Christ for all. Bring Christ to all. See Christ in all.
