I am on my way to Christ, Prince of Peace Retreat Center for our monthly training for the diaconate, but I wanted to share some joyful news before I leave.
Tomorrow, October 10, Pope Francis will beatify Carlo Acutis, a young boy who had a deep devotion to the Eucharist and to Our Lady. Carlo was a computer whiz and created a website documenting the various Eucharistic miracles from around the world. He attended daily Mass, recited a daily rosary, was a champion of the poor and courageous in living and sharing his faith among his peers, so much so that he brought some to a closer relationship with God. Carlo died of leukemia in 2006 at the age of 15.
In February, Pope Francis, following the positive judgment of medical experts, approved the miraculous healing of a young Brazilian boy from a rare disease of the pancreas. That set in motion the beatification of Carlo.
You can access Blessed Carlo’s Eucharistic Miracles website here.
Blessed Carlo Acutis, pray for us!
Be Christ for all. Bring Christ to all. See Christ in all.
