The Misnomered “Equality Act”

I’m leaving for work soon, so I don’t have a lot of time to comment on this important matter. I will leave it, then, to Msgr. Charles Pope to explain to you the serious concerns surrounding the so-called “Equality Act” that has been re-introduced into the House of Representatives and is scheduled for a vote tomorrow, February 25. The Equality Act proposes to end discrimination against LGBTQ+ persons, but has ominous consequences for religious liberty, the conscience rights of healthcare workers and others, the privacy of women and girls, and other matters. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has also spoken on the matter.

Please take a few moments to call or email your representative in the House and express your opposition to this bill.

Be Christ for all. Bring Christ to all. See Christ in all.
